Davidoff Aniversario No. 3 Tubos

Davidoff introduces the Aniversario Number 3. This Toro sized cigar is the newest addition to Davidoff's Aniversario series, and is packaged in Davidoff's unique two-part, twist-off aluminum tube, the Davidoff Tubo.

Affectionately known as the "Ani No. 3" at Davidoff, the cigar is made from a carefully chosen blend of aromatic tobaccos with robust flavors. The Aniversario No. 3, is crafted from tobaccos grown and matured in the Dominican Republic. These tobaccos are stored for up to four years before processing.

The No. 3 can also be considered as a longer Robusto format cigar, and to some extent a big sister to the Davidoff Special "R". The result can be compared to the Davidoff "Double R", but a shade more full-bodied thanks to the shorter format. This highly aromatic blend will particularly appeal to lovers of stronger, fuller flavored cigars.

The Aniversario No. 3 will be available worldwide starting in the autumn of 2000.

Davidoff Short Perfecto

Davidoff is extending its Special Series by introducing it's new "Short Perfecto". The new Perfecto format will be launched on the market in early summer. With its new Short Perfecto, Davidoff joins other well know manufacturers in marking the return of what had become a rare and almost forgotten form of cigar.

The the perfecto's special Zeppelin shape - wider in the middle and elegantly tapering off at the head and end - requires particular skills on the part of the cigar rollers. In the 19th century, and in the first third of the last century, the Perfecto shape had numerous devotees. The glamour of this type of cigar is reflected in many images, drawings and caricatures from that period.

Like all Davidoff cigars, the Short Perfecto is rolled by hand from fully matured tobaccos grown in the Dominican Republic. For the Short Perfecto, a new blend of tobaccos has been created for the Short Perfecto format. These tobaccos are stored for up to four years before processing.

In the coming months, Davidoff's Short Perfecto will gradually be launched worldwide in over 90 countries.

Davidoff Special "B"

Davidoff is expanding its successful Special Series with a new cigar. This spring, the Special "B" will be launched in an elegant Belicoso format. The tobacco blend is based on that of the traditional "Grand Cru" Series, but with a considerably fuller and more aromatic flavor.

With its Special "B", Davidoff is bringing new life to a classical Figurado format. Belicosos are characterized by their pointed ends, which requires considerable skill on the part of the cigar rollers. When preparing the cigar, care must be taken to ensure that the head is cut correctly. The smoke channel must constantly remain smaller than the body of the cigar, for otherwise it resembles a normal Corona format.

Like all Davidoff cigars, the Special "B" consists of carefully selected, well-matured tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, stored for up to four years prior to processing. When producing the cigar, leaves from various harvests are mixed to ensure constant quality of aroma and flavor.

In terms of taste, Davidoff is also breaking new ground. The tobacco blend is based on the rich components of the Davidoff "Grand Cru" Series, but more body and flavor. This harmonious, well-rounded aroma is achieved through the blending of three types of tobacco. These are San Vicente, Olor and Piloto, the highest proportion being that of the strongly flavored Piloto. The binder leaf is a special San Vicente leaf from the "Chepe Perez" finca, which is used only for the Special "B". The Connecticut wrapper leaf undergoes additional fermentation at Davidoff, thus intensifying its aroma. For optimum protection of the delicate head, the cigars are individually wrapped in cellophane. The Special "B" will be gradually introduced in over 90 countries over the coming months.
